thursday Thoughts - 11th of April
Oh man, so we went out and shot portraits. I'm not very good at portraits, but I tried.
I shot Tasha
And Tali shot me.
So, it was a new experience. It takes me time to familiarize myself with the camera, but
I went last so I didn't have too much time to get used to it.
I was very confused, but Tali helped me with the settings so that I could take some okay photos.
Kelsey was also in out group and she shot Tali and Tasha.
We had props from the Spanish class and that was pretty chill too.

Thursday Thoughts March 14
I still need pictures.
I have two pictures of my sister and that's it.
Yup.
That's really all I've got to say.
I edited the pictures of my sister.
They're ok.
I'm bad at sharpening the pictures while I'm taking them, I think.
I don't really understand aperture either.
Yeah.

thursday thoughts - February 21st 2013
Well, I think I’d like to shoot at 23rd. Kind of near Chapman elementary. I don’t know if there’s anything particularly that I’d like to shoot down there, but I’m assuming that because I’m familiar with the area it’d be a good place. I want to shot downtown near the Pearl District also. Near where Emerson is. I’d like a picture of the playground and the elephant statue. Not really sure where else yet. Maybe in Pioneer Square. I like it over there. Probably gonna get a shot at the outer window of Shogun’s Gallery. Maybe I’ll shoot that Go By Train thing also. Yeah, get the train station. Probably gonna go for the Fremont Bridge as my bridge. Maybe I’ll take a picture of that thing outside Powells. I don’t know what in the hell it is, I never have, but I think maybe it’s a good idea to try and get that from different angles. Maybe some food carts.
Get a picture of the area above Jake’s Grill.

Yeah, so there's some brainstorming for my thursday thoughts.

Thursday Thoughts
Today it is Thursday the 14th. My morning didn't start out that great, but then I came to photography class and it just got a whole lot better. I learned quite a bit about framing, but since I'm sick, I'm still having a bit of a hard time comprehending things because I'm so woozy. I don't act like I'm woozy though, so that's good. I learned about looking, well no. I learned that I SHOULD look for things that others miss and take it from different angles so that it has a unique touch to it. I don't really know what to call it. I kind of haven't shot in a while, so I forgot what aperture does. I mean, I didn't really forget, but when I think with my light headache, the head ache gets worse. I know it has relation to the depth of the picture. Smaller aperture means I can get a clear photo of a large amount of space. Larger aperture focuses on stuff, right? I don't know right now. I want to get better though. I mean that to apply in both photography and my sickness that I currently have. Ugh. I also didn't do last weeks thursday thoughts because I was sick. I was sick on monday too. SO MUCH SICK. I have to do this editing process on some photos, but I took crappy photos. I really did. I had good ISO, I know that, but my aperture and focus were completely off. I didn't notice until I uploaded them. I know that before I was sick, I would look at my photos and review them and change the aperture. I only took one decent photo. I think if anything I've become worse. I'm kind of sad about it and I want to go reshoot, but I don't know when I'd do it. I'm embarrassed, sick and tired too. Thank you Tasha for the coffee.
